About The Johnson's
Tressa Johnson
Owner, Social Media Operator
My name is Tressa Johnson. I am the founder of Johnson's Bunny Farm. It all started in 5th grade when my homeroom teacher told me and my friends about 4-H and the Rabbit Project. Rabbits were all I could convince my family to allow me to have and raise. After extensive research, I decided to get into Dwarf Hotot Rabbits. They are an energetic small breed of rabbit that catches everyone's eye that walks through the barn. There are not a lot of Dwarf Hotot Breeders located around Minnesota so we strive to be the best we can.
I am starting my 4th year of college at North Dakota State University. My field of study is Equine Science & Business Administration with minors in Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies & The Visual Arts. Due to me being in college I mostly work our social media pages, the website, and plan out our breeding schedule. I also bring my brother to shows when I can, and schedule rabbit buying and selling. Therefore, if you contact us about rabbits it will be me that helps you!
I'd like to thank Isabelle Eid for my little Dwarf Hotot Buck Oliver! This rabbit is what started it all!
Noah Johnson
Owner, Care taker and Manager
Noah is currently the man in charge of our herd. The herd is located in Isanti, MN and Noah runs the hobby farm after school. He does the breeding, feeding, and handling of all the rabbits while Tressa is gone at school. Noah is very passionate about rabbits, and gives them all the love and attention they deserve. He works hard to ensure the animals receive proper welfare and husbandry. Noah will be going into 10th grade this year. He is very excited for the upcoming breeding season we are planning for!
If you purchase a rabbit from us, Noah and our mom or grandpa will be the ones that meet you for pickup!
Elmer Johnson
Caretaker, Feed buyer, Rabbit Supply Craftsman
Here at Johnson's Bunny Farm we are blessed to have the help of our amazing grandfather to assist us in the care of our rabbits. Grandpa drives Noah to the store to buy feed, to places to sell rabbits, and feeds the rabbits if Noah is at after school activities. Grandpa is very skilled at building and constructing things. He has built all of our hutches, runs, and show tables. We are very thankful for all the things he does to help us. Grandpa loves the little white bunnies the most of all the breeds. He grows lettuce and carrots in the garden for the rabbits to munch on in the summertime!
